I’m happy to announce the launch of Mission Arlington’s new website. Mission’s previous website was a product of the efforts of Jeffrey Zeldman and Brian Alvey in 2005, who referred to us for the website refresh late last year. I took on the visual and technical design, and assisted Mission’s IT department in integrating the design with their custom content management system. My hat goes off to them for the feat.

The successful launch of Mission Arlington is special to me for a couple reasons. First, it is the first high-traffic website 1M has redesigned, receiving more than 25,000 unique visitors a month. Second, MissionArlington.org is the first website to launch with the assistance of Jessica Eldredge who is a creative and talented visual designer in Washington, DC.
Lastly, I’m honored to have had a hand in helping Mission help others. Funded heavily through donations and powered by volunteers, Mission Arlington is a humble yet successful ministry reaching out to the community of Arlington, Texas. I wish them all the best and look forward to keeping up with their progress.
Disclosure: Final integration and customization of the content management system was handled by 3rd party contractors. I continue to work with Mission Arlington staff to ensure the integrity of the design and code through this process.
