Why is it “1M”?
Founder Antoine Butler established 1M Creative just before the birth of his son, whom would be named Antoine Jr. However, there was a discrepancy in the spelling of his middle name. Antoine’s state ID read “Emmanuel,” while his birth certificate read “Emanuel.” Deciding the birth certificate carried more weight, it was decided — one M. When it came time to name the business, Antoine decided the same rules would apply — 1M.
